We have over 20 years experience of increasing the number of people who engage with charities, either through benefiting from their services, or giving their time or money.
Improving health information strategies through behaviour change training
The World Cancer Research Fund (UK) wanted to increase the reach and impact of its Health Information programmes. We provided an interactive workshop for staff to increase their understanding of behaviour change and to stimulate thinking on how programmes could be made more effective by the practical application of behaviour change principles and techniques.
“Richard delivered a highly engaging, relevant and practical session on behaviour change, tailored to our organisation’s needs. He has an excellent understanding of the voluntary sector environment and I would recommend Cause Action to any charity wanting to explore how behaviour change principles can increase their effectiveness and impact” – Kate Mendoza, Head of Health Information, World Cancer Research Fund (WCRF UK)
Improving customer journeys and attracting new support
With our partners Open Associates, we worked with international disaster relief charity RedR to make it easier for people to enroll on their training courses. This resulted in effective changes to the website and the customer booking process.
We also devised and delivered a key message workshop that enabled RedR to develop messages to encourage new audiences, with different motivations, to support the charity.
“The session has made me think more carefully about different motivations for giving and what RedR does well and what we can make more of. It was reinforcing and thought-provoking” – RedR workshop participant
Recommendations to improve supporter journeys
We provided pro bono support to Care International UK to review the supporter experience of their micro-finance lending initiative lendwithcare.org. Our recommendations covered developing motivational messaging, amending the website design and navigation, and increasing the engagement of those lending through planned supporter journeys. “Richard’s feedback was invaluable for the development of lendwithcare.org. He confirmed the value of some aspects we had started to work on and raised useful points for us to consider in our future plans” – Sarah Taylor-Peace, Marketing Director Care International UK
